The cartoons are classified by level AND by score

The ranking of your cartoon also depends on the levels that you have passed !

So, a cartoon that has 120 points, yet which has never gone through a promotoon and is in the “films of the moment” category, is classified worse than a cartoon that has 110 points but went through a promoton (making it a “can't miss” film)
